Dan Ariely is a professor of psychology and behavioral economics at Duke University. He is dedicated to answering questions that help people live more rational - if not more rational - lives. His interests span a wide range of behaviors, and his sometimes unusual experiments are consistently interesting, entertaining, and informative, revealing deep ideas that run counter to conventional wisdom.
He is a founding member of the Center for Advanced Hindsight, co-creator of the film documentary (In)Honesty: The Truth About Lies, and author of three New York Times bestsellers. His books include Predictably Irrational, The Honest Truth About Dishonesty, Irrationally Yours, Payoff Dollars, and Sense and Misbelief.
