Libor Váka is an independent real estate investor, consultant and real estate market expert. His work is based on more than ten years of practical experience with rental properties, their financing and valuation. He invests solely based on data and believes that every era has its opportunities.
Before he became an investor, he founded and successfully ran SOLLARIS for several years, which was engaged in the installation of photovoltaic power plants on family and apartment buildings. From a small company with only a few employees, he built it into a major player with a market share of around 10% and a number of contracts in Poland, Slovakia and Hungary. For a year he was on the board of the Photovoltaic Power Plants Guild and negotiated on behalf of its members with representatives of distributors, the regulator and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
In 2013, he retired from the management of his company and invested in his first rental apartment. He now owns over 140 of them and has a steady annual return of almost 15% over the long term. He has appreciated his initial capital by over 500% in ten years of investing and employs a team of people to provide full property management and related administration. Since 2019, it has also been actively involved in real estate investment advisory. He holds group workshops, individual consultations and speaks at industry conferences and universities.
