Honza Hlavsa is the co-founder of the Czech startup Fondee, an online investment platform that is the first to provide a simple and transparent approach to investing in stocks and bonds for the emerging generation of investors. After nine years living in London, he returned to Prague to found Fondee. While abroad, he gained experience in the world of big finance - at Greenstone Resources, a $500 million private equity fund, he learned how to manage investors' finances and achieve good returns in just over two years. He has led transactions in the tens of millions of dollars. He has also handled portfolio management for companies already invested in. At Rio Tinto International Corporation, he worked on global billion-dollar transactions over four years. He understood how commodities trading works and how to succeed in a predatory market. Before that, he worked in the Eastern Europe region at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Honza studied economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science, which is one of the world's top ten universities in the field. He completed his undergraduate studies at the Institute of Economic Studies of Charles University. From his position as co-founder, he leads and takes Fondee forward. In addition, he handles compliance, cash flow and investor relations.
