Miroslav Singer joined Generali CEE Holding in January 2017 as Director of Institutional Relations and Chief Economist. He also became Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Česká pojišt'ovna, now Generali Česká pojišt'ovna. Miroslav Singer was appointed a member of the Executive Committee of Generali CEE Holding as of 1 January 2018. Prior to that, he served as Governor of the Czech National Bank from 2010 to 2016 and was a member of the CNB Bank Board and Deputy Governor from 2005 to 2010. From 1991 to 1995, he was Deputy Director, researcher and lecturer at the Institute of Economics at Charles University in Prague and the Centre for Economic Research and Postgraduate Education of the CAS. He also held managerial positions at the financial and industrial group Expandia, becoming its CEO in 1995 and serving there until 2001. From 2001 to 2005 Miroslav Singer was a director of PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He graduated from the University of Economics in Prague with a degree in Mathematical Methods in Economics and completed his doctoral studies at the University of Pittsburgh, where he received his Ph.D. in 1995.
